Observe the majestic construction workers in their natural habitat...
I do hope David Attneborough sees at least one of my David Attenborough voiceovers sometime... It has come on really far over the years and it is undoubtedly one of my best impressions. It's also surprising just how much work my David Attenborough voice gets me each year. The mockumentary style may be a well-worn comedic road, but it still seems to make everyone laugh. I get asked to do this voice a little too often, so I don't always say yes when a company approaches me. However, this script from On The Tools was so funny and written with such clear affection that it was a no-brainer. If you'd like to hear a couple more examples of my Attenborough voice, check out my Kantega and my Love Island voiceovers.
On The Tools is a social group made by and for construction workers in the UK and across the world. Its purpose is to share funny images, stories, and videos about life working in construction. Existing purely on social media, the best places to find it are on Facebook and Twitter. The sense of humour on these pages is top-notch and I found the script they sent over very funny, even before I added my Attenborough impression into the mix. I've had a lot of compliments about my voiceover on this video and it was great fun to do. I'd love to work with these guys again in the future.
If you'd like to wind up your co-workers with a satirical mockumentary in the style of Sir David Attenborough's award-winning nature documentaries, then you are more than welcome to get in touch with me. But perhaps that's a little too specific... In fact, if you need my voiceover for an explainer video a TV ad, or even a movie trailer, I'll be more than happy to work with you. If you need a little help working out whether I'm a good fit with your brand or your project, I'll be happy to provide a short voiceover sample from your script. Looking forward to working with you!
