Pop up Pirate Voiceover

Another television commercial featuring my Pop up Pirate Voiceover. Clearly another winner by TOMY. A sure fire hit for kids at Christmas.
Although I'm quite comfortable doing lots of Character voices, I do like to specialise in a handful. I don't want to be the guy that claims to do hundreds of voices. However I do feel very at home as the voice of a Pirate.

From television and radio to events and video games, I've voiced quite a lot in this style. Working with Lego, I not only voiced the trailer for it but I also played the Pirate Captain in the game too. I base my characterisation on that of Captain Barbossa from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie. If ye be looking for a pirate, you just found him.

Pop up Pirate Voiceover

Pop up Pirate works like all the best suspense games, where you have to each take it in turns putting swords into the barrel. If you put the sword into the wrong place, the pirate will pop out and you'll have lost. It's funny how many great kids games games have been based on Russian roulette! This game is great fun and it was really enjoyable to provide my voiceover for the TV ad.
