The B-movie trailer voice is one of those styles when you hear it, suddenly you are in a world of giant monsters, flying saucers, low-budget chaos, dramatic taglines and total cinematic mayhem.
Traditionally, B-movies were lower-budget genre films, often in the worlds of science fiction, horror, creature features and pulp adventure. But what they lacked in budget, they made up for in atmosphere, energy and unforgettable style.
If you need a voice that says something terrifying is heading towards Earth with complete sincerity and maximum impact, this style is for you. Awesome for spoof campaigns, parody trailers, themed promos, YouTube content and sits naturally alongside my wider movie trailer voice work.

B-Movie Trailer Voice
Generic B-Movie Trailer Voice Demo
My demos showcase the B-movie trailer style itself. That classic retro trailer delivery with big emphasis, rich drama and the sort of overblown menace that suits vintage monster movies, science fiction spoofs and creature-feature promos perfectly. You can find more of it across my character voice library.
Clients often want the feel of an old-school trailer without it sounding dusty or one-note. So the trick is to keep the theatricality, the pace and the genre flavour, while still making it sharp enough for a modern audience.
FESPA - Superhero B-Movie Energy
This piece for FESPA, the global print and signage event, shows how the style can shift into a more heroic, action-led direction. It still has that retro trailer DNA running through it, but with a bolder, more swaggering energy that gives it a comic-book, larger-than-life feel.
It is a good example of how this sort of voice can work beyond horror or sci-fi parody. If a promo needs impact, spectacle and a heightened sense of occasion, this flavour of performance can really help lift it off the page.
Rocket & Groot - Stranded on Planet Shopping Mall
This is another fun example of the style being used in a very specific B-movie world. Stranded on Planet Shopping Mall leans into the retro sci-fi creature-feature tone beautifully, with all the camp, peril and pulp you would want from a knowingly ridiculous trailer concept.
It is exactly the kind of project this voice was made for. Strange titles, outrageous stakes, a sense of looming disaster, and a narrator who sounds as though the fate of the universe depends on you buying a ticket immediately. Ridiculous in the best possible way.
