In 2018, I voiced Ringo the turtle in Becca’s Bunch, a preschool animation series featuring handcrafted puppet characters and gentle, character-led storytelling.
Becca’s Bunch is a preschool television series that originally aired on Channel 5 in the UK. The show follows Becca and her group of friends as they explore everyday adventures in Wagtail Woods, with a strong focus on kindness, curiosity and problem-solving.
Ringo is a friendly turtle who works as a bus driver, often popping up throughout the series as a familiar and reassuring presence. Although the show hasn’t been recommissioned for further series, there were a substantial number of episodes produced, and Ringo appeared regularly across them.
Voicing characters for children’s television requires a balance of warmth, clarity and personality. Ringo’s voice needed to feel friendly and dependable, without overpowering the gentle tone of the series.
This kind of work sits firmly within my character voiceover work, alongside other long-running children’s TV projects.
I’ve also voiced multiple characters in Thomas & Friends, including Winston, Salty and Troublesome Tanker 2, roles that similarly rely on clear characterisation and consistent delivery across episodes. You can read more about that work on my Thomas & Friends voiceover page.
If you’re producing animation, children’s content or character-led projects and need a reliable, experienced voice, I’m always happy to chat.
