A pretty great use for my tried-and-tested David Attenborough voice.
Anyone who spends more than 30 seconds on my blog will see that I have a rather successful David Attenborough voiceover that I've provided for a large range of trailers, commercials, and even sports promotions. It's not often that the subject of the voiceover script I'm given is actually about animals, nevermind the product actually being "a nature documentary sim". Needless to say, I relished the opportunity to dust off my Attenborough voice for this trailer. I think the video turned out rather nice, if I say so myself... If you'd like to see some more of my game trailer voiceovers, check out my Siegecraft Commander and Lifeless videos.
Natural Instincts is an interactive nature documentary simulation game that started out on Kickstarter. The gameplay is summarised as follows: "Protect the environment and keep the balance! Give hints to the animals, observe their rituals and help them survive." This is a great concept for a game, so it's no surprise that the game achieved 100% of its funding goals. The next step of their process: record a great little game trailer with yours truly. I really hope the game is as fun to play as it was to work with these guys. Wishing them all the best when the game launches on Steam.
If you've read all the way to here then thanks for your interest. There's probably a good chance you're looking for a voiceover artist. Whether you're working on a commercial, explainer video, or a game trailer like this one I did for Natural Instincts, I'll be more than happy to consider your script. Please get in touch if you'd like to work with me. I'm happy to provide a free sample from your script to help you hear whether I'm right for your project and I can usually complete most voiceover work on the same day it's requested of me — this is partly due to the top-of-the-range recording studio I have set up at home.
